During the course of product development, we generally advise our clients to conduct “freedom to operate” searches to reduce the risk of infringement claims by other parties. After searching, we provide risk assessments relating to the possibility of infringing granted patents and pending applications. We collaborate with our clients to design around existing patents in order to avoid potential infringement.
